It all started with an apron...

When Alberta Tracy was given an apron in 1983 at the Ehmann home, little did she know that it was the gateway of a huge part of her life. She began giving tours of the house and assisting Jim Lenhoff with his history classes by reenacting the characters in his stories. Further on, she began representing these same characters at Cornellia Lott's restaurant. Over time, she expanded her horizons and began giving history talks at local schools, organizations and churches, around Downton Oroville, and throughout the entire community.

As of today, she still in heavily involved in Oroville and the Butte County Historical Society. You can find her every Saturday at the Ehmann home giving tours from 11-3pm.
